stop making excuses

Don’t you hate it when someone commits to doing something and then they just flake out and they “get busy” and “something came up” and they just couldn’t do it?  We’ve all been there. It’s the absolute worst and we just want to say, “JUST DO IT ALREADY.”  I always say if it’s a priority it will get done no matter what.

Welll… the last 11 days of the blogtember challenge have been just that for me.  I don’t want to make excuses because I committed publicly to writing every day.

The last 11 days have been some of the craziest days of our married life. From packing and cleaning our entire apartment, packing trucks, renting cars, attending life changing meetings for work, Dallin’s last day on the job, driving from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, going to a wedding 4 hours away, unpacking, cleaning, and trying to do 8 hours of work a day… there has been hardly any free time.  Also, our new apartment still doesn’t have internet, so that definitely hasn’t helped anything.

I’m not trying to make excuses, but life happens, and I’m forgiving myself for slacking the last 11 days. Yes there are priorities, and unfortunately writing on this blog definitely didn’t make the list with all of the necessary things that we have been doing.

And while I know that “the dog ate my homework” excuse is impossible to prove because quite literally the homework is gone, I have proof.  In pictures.

fullsizerender-13Friday night in Provo for my cousin’s wedding! We are sick of driving haha! But it was a beautiful wedding with beautiful twinkle lights, delicious food, and the best company.

I will be back to posting for the blogtember challenge, but no promises that it will be every day! There are more adventures to be had for this month, who knows where my priorities will lie 🙂
