Il potere della verdina-letter 2/26/14

Cara famiglia,

It has been a good week!  Thursday I went up to get my new companion, Sorella Richards!  She is seriously one of the sweetest people I have ever met, and she has this cute sarcastic sense of humor and she keeps making me laugh all day long.  We arrived in Milano and got some training from President Dibb about training, and then we got our new companions.  We then hopped on a train back to Florence but we didn’t get back till like 8:00 that night. Yay for mission travelling!

We actually ended up sitting next to another anziano and his trainee on the way down, and we got to teach a young 20 year old girl and teaching her about the Restoration.. It was really fun/weird because I taught the Restoration with an anziano and we passed the discussion back and forth.  Our trainees were just watching in awe, haha.  I forgot, what we do all day is pretty cool.  I realized I have come a far way, obviously we will share the gospel with the girl we’re sitting next to on the train… but afterwards I felt like a superhero! Does that make sense?

We have been seeing some pretty cool little miracles though, the greenie power is a real thing!  Sunday night we went to pass by some of our investigators and members and no one was home.  So, we decided to do a little bit of casa.  We started knocking the doors, and SOMEONE LISTENED TO US!  Sorella Richards got to help teach with the first vision and everything.  She is so cute and adorable and is fearless!  He was pretty interested and willing to the let the anziani come teach him again (miracle, because usually they only open up because we’re two blonde girls :))

We are talking with so many more people too.

As far as our investigators go, I am tempted to just fast all day long because they are making me get ulcers.   One is so so close to baptism, but just isn’t keeping all the commitments and having the excitement for baptism that I would like.  I am praying so hard to make sure that she is truly ready to make and keep this covenant.  Please pray for us to receive the revelation that we need in order to know how to help her.

Today for P-day we climbed the famous Florence duomo, it was beautiful.  I love this city, and I am so glad I can stay here for probably another 3 months.

My companion is wonderful.  I am learning so so much from her, and I am so happy for the opportunity to train.  She has such an excited, fresh, attitude.  She inspired all of us at district meeting.  Her excitement for everything, her constant questions, they’re just what I needed right now.

I know this gospel is true.  Prego per voi, preghatevi per me!
